Author's Note: I'm not sure how interesting everyone will find this, but it contains a stastical analysis of a considerable amount of polling data, so I thought it would be worth a shot to at least submit it to scrutiny. So, two nights ago I spent 6 hours analyzing and writing a report about poll data regarding Bush and Kerry from the past 7 months. Though not all the information from my report is applicable, or even interesting, there are some intriguing aspects to it. The main purpose of this paper is to describe quantitatively how Gallup's and Zogby's polling methodologies affect the picture they present of the presidential race.
